callaway ft-iz fairway wood graphite

The Callaway FT-iZ fairway wood graphite is part of Callaway’s most advanced family of clubs. Callaway have updated their own Fusion Technology to create the longest and straightest fairway woods they have ever produced.
The FT-iZ fairway features Fusion Technology in it’s multi material construction with each component individually designed to complement the whole club. The crown of the FT-i9 is made from compression moulded carbon fibre and weighs just nine grams. This has allowed Callaway to redistribute the weight to the clubface and the rear of the club in a system called polar weighting. By concentrating the weight in these key areas the FT-iZ can deliver an extremely high Moment of Inertia (MOI) making it one of the most stable clubs Callaway have produced. With the weight at the back and rear of the club Callaway’s engineers have been free to give the centre of gravity a precise location low in the clubhead to promote the ball speed and spin that contributes to consistently long trajectories.

PROS: Consistent, predictable ball flight; accuracy is a specialty; reliable distance output; well-struck shots deliver crisp response at impact; clubhead is stable throughout the swing; overall club design seems to help slicers eradicate the banana ball.
CONS: Triangular shape tends to be distracting, while the closed (onset) face makes setup a bit of a challenge; impact feel and sound on mis-hits can be too much; some guys who currently hit a draw might overcook shots.

The Callaway FT-iZ fairway wood pushes the boundaries of technology and performance to be one of the most consistent and impressive fairway woods available.
